What customers say?

“ This place is located at Takashimaya Namba. Food is on the pricy side. We ordered 2 dinner set and selected the dried scallop kamameshi and prawn kamameshi. The starters served all look quite good but taste decent. Kamameshi is good but not eye wateringly good. Service is excellent ”

“ It was delicious! Even the rice in the clay pot was good; I ate there a second time. Oysters, beef, and scallops were also excellent. ”

“ I visited for lunch on a weekday. Perhaps because it was after 1:00 PM, I was seated with almost no wait time. Koume (small plums) 2,580 yen The kamameshi (rice pot) is salmon and salmon roe + 580 yen Choose your favorite kamameshi from several varieties. Some options require an additional charge. Shumai, Mineoka tofu, and chawanmushi were served first, followed by a plate of dengaku, and finally the kamameshi. The portions are generous, so I think even women will be full. It's a healthy menu with a refined flavor. ”

“ We had a lovely time at this amazing restaraunt. The staff were very kind and generous with service. It was an amazing experience of eating. We were told it would be 20 minutes but then the food just kept arriving! ”

“ Restaurant is located in the shopping Mall. We ordered Salmon Roe Rice Bento, Single Crab and Lily root Rice Bento, deep fried Oyster 10pcs and drinks. All the seasonal dishes are so juicy, delicious and fresh. The roe are bouncy and slimy fresh. The best served dishes in this restaurant. The line waiting can be long, as long as 15-30mins wait on peak hours. Service is good and prompt, worth the wait to dine here. ”

“ Kisetsu-kamameshi Hanakoume at Namba Takashimaya was an outstanding dining experience. The kamameshi was one of the best rice pot dishes we’ve had in Japan. The rice was perfectly cooked, fluffy, and infused with rich flavor from the fresh seasonal ingredients. I tried the oyster with bamboo kamameshi, and my husband tried the beef with burdock. Both were absolutely amazing and full of delicate, well-balanced flavors. Every bite tasted authentic and comforting, truly highlighting the beauty of traditional Japanese cuisine. The presentation was elegant, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and the service was warm and attentive. A perfect place to enjoy a high-quality traditional meal while visiting Namba Takashimaya. Highly recommend. ”

“ On the way back from Umeda where my wife and I had gone to try on rental attire for our son's wedding, we decided to eat at the food court in Takashimaya South. We went in without hesitation as we were served delicious tofu-based dishes and kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot). The dishes were brought out one by one. Since it was tofu-based, it was gentle on the stomach and light, making it easy to eat. A fried tofu dish was brought out midway through, and we ate it with just a squeeze of lemon. It was so delicious that we decided to buy one to take home on our way home. Finally, we had kamameshi. This dish takes a while to prepare, so you order it at the beginning and it comes at the end of the course. I ordered the "Beef and Burdock Rice" and my wife ordered the "Oyster and Lotus Root Rice." The other courses were a bit on the light side, but the final kamameshi was just the right amount. My wife left some leftover. You can get a discount if you register on the site, but when they asked if you were registered and I answered "I'm not," they just let me pass. I overheard the person behind me asking the staff how to register, so my wife registered and showed it at the register, and we got a discount. It's a shame they didn't say, "You can still register now." That was the only thing that bothered me, but overall it was a satisfying lunch. ”
